About us
Helping Families Thrive with Purpose and Direction
Family Focus Coach was created to provide parents with targeted, practical support during some of the most challenging seasons of family life. When homes become overwhelmed by conflict, confusion, or behavioral struggles, parents often feel isolated and unsure of their next step. We come alongside families with proven strategies to help redirect children, restore peace in the home, and rebuild healthy parent-child relationships.
Rather than offering one-size-fits-all solutions, Family Focus Coach focuses on understanding each family’s unique dynamics. We help parents establish clear boundaries, strengthen communication, and respond to conflict with confidence instead of frustration. Through intentional coaching, parents gain practical, sustainable skills that equip them to raise healthy, resilient adults and lead their homes with clarity, structure, and hope.

FOUNDER
Phil Ludwig
Phil Ludwig is the founder of Family Focus Coach and the Executive Director of Teen Rescue, Inc., a parent support program serving families with struggling teens. With more than 30 years of experience working with families in crisis, Phil brings a rare blend of real-world insight, professional discipline, and compassionate guidance.
Phil began his career in law enforcement, serving with the San Diego Police Department. During his service, he received 17 commendations for lifesaving efforts and criminal investigations. His career was cut short after being struck by a drunk driver while on duty in 1985, forcing an early retirement.
While recovering, Phil was asked by a distraught neighbor to help locate her missing daughter. After her safe recovery, and assisting several other families in crisis, Phil recognized a growing need for structured support for troubled teens. In 1989, he founded Teen Rescue, Inc., which began as a small family ministry and has since grown into a national nonprofit serving families for more than three decades.
Phil has been featured on radio and television outlets including KBRT, KKLA, KPRAISE, and TBN, and has appeared alongside respected leaders such as Dr. Henry Cloud, Dr. John Townsend, Dr. David Stoop, Dr. Paul Meier, Francis Chan, and others. He also co-hosted a weekly Family Focus radio program on KKLA, addressing family dynamics, teen conflict, parental rights, and healthy relationship strategies.
Today, Phil co-hosts the upcoming podcast Oops, We Made People with his two adult sons, offering practical and honest conversations about parenting, boundaries, conflict resolution, and navigating family life in today’s world.
